Description
Geelong West Free Kindergarten was opened on the 20th March, 1922 by Earl Stradbroke, the Governor of Victoria. It has operated continuously on the same site in O'Connell St, Geelong West ever since. Initial enrolments totalled fifty-five students, but since that time the kindergarten has flourished. In 1982, alterations and extensions almost doubled the building's size. In 2013 a further extension and modernisation meant that we can offer three groups of 25 children each at the Kindergarten level ("4 year old") and three groups of 22 children each in our pre-Kindergarten program("3 year old"). This means we can now accodomate a total of 141 children at our centre.
