I'll share some memories when I've unpacked!
Hi folks, I'm back in Toowoomba after 2 weeks on the road exploring NSW. Jenolan caves, Thredbo, Tamworth, Bathurst, Oberon, Cabramurra, Talbingo, Tumut, Cooma, you name it, we've had a look. Spent a lot of time in the mountains this holiday enjoying the fantastic views. We've taken our time and really come home thrilled but exhausted. Home feels so good. Call me if you need some balancing!!!
Hi everyone. I'm finally taking that long awaited trip to the snow with my hubby and kids. Be back early September. Stay grounded and enjoy life. I will be!!!
One of my children couldn't get themselves together today. Couldn't find her homelinks (her library bag) which also contained her new glasses, lost the book that needed to go back to the school library, and generally mucked around. I did about 15 kms extra just to get her to school and had to really bite down on my irritation which was slipping out very fast. I got home, worried about the loss of the glasses and irritated by her messy room. I was able to find the missing book and decided to move past my irritation and take it back to school. Just as I arrived back to her class, I could hear the teacher on the phone discussing the missing book and there in front of her was my little girl trying to explain why she couldn't produce the book. She was standing there, hands crossed in front of her, eyes beseeching the teacher to be kind to her despite her inability to bring the book back. I handed over the book with the teacher saying "what amazing timing" and my little girl's eyes registering relief and joy that the missing book had turned up just in time. The missing book was actually being returned to the school to give to a little boy who had just broken his arm and was in pain and wanted this story that he loved. The glasses and homelinks was returned by an older boy that had picked it up realising that it had been left behind. Another disaster in my child's world averted. Timing is perfect. I didn't know all these details until tonight and both my day and my daughter's was enjoyable. Did I "rescue" her? Probably, but we also improved the day of another child. Sometimes our children can be frustrating, irritating and downright little "Buggers". Sometimes, we need to take a breath and go with the flow even if that feels like upriver like a salmon!!!!!! Enjoy the journey of parenthood. They're only small for a while. xx
Ok, hit me now!! Sometimes we have to pause and take the time to reflect. I feel like I've been in pause mode now for awhile and am ready to get moving again. I know I posted yesterday about everything coming at the perfect time........................I'm just trying to be patient!!!!!
Last night I had the pleasure of visiting Life Kinesiology in Toowoomba and meeting with Zoe. What an awesome space she has created. I'm truly blessed to count Zoe as one of my colleagues and friends and applaud her bravery and commitment to the kinesiolgy world. She offers beautful candles made by Sam, incence and more to come. Good luck Zoe, keep on going with your venture.
