Good news for White County vets! Starting in July, a Disabled American Veterans van will be available to transport White County veterans to and from the VA clinic in Oakwood every Tuesday for free. Veterans wishing to ride in the van should call Max Corner at 678-315-1165. Please remember to request morning appointments! The van, provided by the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 17 in Gainesville, leaves from the Adams Foods IGA parking lot on East Kytle Street in Cleveland. Other veterans interested in finding DAV transportation to a VA medical center should check their Service Directory at https://www.dav.org/wp-content/uploads/HSCDirectory.pdf.
