Why Ghost Dog? It all started with a rumor going around my old highschool Yale Secondary, about a famous ghost dog up on Sumas Mountain . The story was that there was a dog that had been hit many times and lived or....came back, thus "Ghost Dog". Well myself and a couple friends desided to go up Sumas Mountain to find the infamous ghost dog. We found him, as well as the owner, who finally had enough of all these crazy kids coming up near his property to find the ghost dog. The owner desided to jump into his truck, we took off, scared obviously. He chased us down sumas mountain where he continually rammed our car from behind sending us flying at top speed into a tree. We all made it out of the crash, injuries included scrapes,bruises and for myself wiplash. Needless to say, sure it was stupid to go up Sumas Mountain looking for a "ghost dog" but if we didn't go , we wouldn't have had such crazy adventure which we still talk about to this day. Finding the ghost dog was out of curioisty, and the want for adventure. Well that's what I also strive for when brewing, I'm always curious about mixing different barley,hops,yeast and other fermentables. if I don't let my curiosity run wild, that would be pretty boring wouldn't it? There are many adventures to be had when out on a pub crawl, brewing with friends, and crazy beer festivals. Beer is in a class of its own, as is wine. It can have wonderful aromas , colors, and taste. Brewing your own beer gives you the power to put something into an ale,lager, stout etc that you would never see on a store shelf. Theres a world of beer out there! Discover it and Brew it!
