Course Content: Social Care Theory for Practice Psychology Sociology Social Policy Protection of Individuals Work Placement (including 3 SVQ workplace units) Understanding and Supporting Behaviour Optional Unit Graded Unit Preferred Entry Qualifications: 2 SQA Higher Grade passes Full-time applicants must have a minimum of 120 hours of relevant work experience Applicants with relevant experience by interview Subject to Enhanced Disclosure Scotland criteria Assessment: Continuous, with a mix of practical and theoretical assessment Scottish Vocational Qualification Units Graded unit Duration: 1 year (August - June) Attendance: Langside Campus: Full-time Possible Progression Routes: HND Additional Support Needs BA Social Work BA/Diploma of Higher Education: Education & Social Care Employment in the Care Sector Price: Course fees are dependent upon individual circumstances.
