Global Compassion is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the goal of eradicating barriers to education in less economically developed countries. Global Compassion Inc. (formally: We Care) was founded in July of 2013, by Ferdale Huey, a retired US Army Veteran, shortly after visiting Jamaica and seeing the condition of the poverty stricken schools firsthand. In 2015, after multiple trips abroad; he established Global Compassion as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization to further his effort in assisting disadvantaged children with needed school supplies. Today, Global Compassion is a beacon of hope for underserved youth; as he remains committed to eradicating educational barriers in less economically developed countries (LEDC).

We operate with the primary goal of eradicating barriers to education; by proving school supplies to children in less economically developed countries (LEDC). Our organization is committed to helping undeserved youth obtain needed resources that others take for granted. We provide help and support to disadvantage schools and orphanages through a variety of creative ideas such as: Sponsorship, Raffles, Fundraisers, In-Kind Donations, and Direct Financial Support.

GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Student: Jacob Lee Jacob Lee, is a 11-year-old, six grade student from Sacramento, CA, who recently received high marks and recognition for his oral presentation on the high cost of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. This amazing young man also received a Certificate of Excellence in Math and created a scrapbook which will be used as the example for (High Standards) for next year’s class on Greek Ancient History. His hobbies include baseball and volunteering with children’s ministries at church. Congratulation!

GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Student: Alajia Smith Alajia Smith is an amazing, outgoing, 11 year-old, Fifth grade student at George Y. Komure elementary school in Stockton, Ca. She enjoys reading, Karate, bike riding, skating and music. Alajia has maintained Honor Roll status every semester since First grade. She has received the Hazelton Award from Stockton Unified School District and currently has a 4.0 grade average. Alajia recently received awards for Principals Excellence, Excellence in Language Arts, and the 6th Annual African American Academic Excellence award from the Manteca Unified School District, hosted at Lathrop High School. Alajia's dream is to attend Ohio State University and receive her Doctorate in Pediatrics.

GLOBAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Student: Darein Brown Darein Brown is a 8-year-old, second grade student, going to Tully C. Knowles in Stockton, CA. He’s an honest and hardworking student who is challenging himself to reach his goal of reading a 1,000 words before the end of the school year. Darein was recently recognized by school officials and given their Golden Star Award for Academic Excellence.
