Gloucester House is a plantation colonial constructed on the banks of Sleepy Creek in Gloucester NC....it was built in 2000 from a classic southern design and is often mistaken for an older historical home. We are located in the country down a quiet dead end road surrounded by the Core Sound and Sleepy Creek. We host airbnb guests only in two guest bedrooms decorated in a cozy country design. The blue bedroom has a queen bed, bathroom with shower located inside the room and a private water view balcony with two rocking chairs. The pink bedroom has a king bed with private bathroom across the hall that has a whirlpool tub only no shower, it also has a private balcony that is not water view with two Adirondack chairs.Out back we have lounge chairs, a hammock, gas grill, a small beach with sitting area and 3 kayaks that are available to guests at no fee. We also have chickens , geese, a resident peacock named Thomas. There are two goats, William and Edna who are tame but stay in their pen most of the day..they do come out for goat happy hour in the evening. Our rescue Labradors, Jake and Skye guard my flock of chickens and are gentle sweet animals that love children. We also have a resident cat Mr. Evil who can be found asleep on the back porch usually. The bedrooms have coffee pots, immersion heaters for tea, tea bags, coffee, wine opener, ice bucket, snacks and a small cooler that I fill with ice and stash a small bottle of milk in. If I'm home I prepare a simple breakfast or if its a work day for me (I'm a dental hygienist in town) I leave out things for you to fix on your own. We are located twenty minutes from Beaufort NC and thirty minutes from Morehead City. We charge 75.00 per night per room, two people per room. Please access airbnb for reviews and further details.
