Description

Golden Green Hotel is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It about 4 miles east to uptown Charlotte, adjacent to Oven Auditorium and Bojangle’s Coliseum. Our hotel is an 8-story building, the tallest structure in the surrounding area. This building has been active since 1970. It was one of the most prestigious hotels in Charlotte in the 70’s and 80’s. Many of the top artists stayed in this building, such as Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Presley. In recent years, after renovation, several Hollywood movie/TV stars stayed with us at Golden Green Hotel. The partners of Golden Green Hotel are vegans – observe plant based diet. Being vegan is compassion, is peace, is ecological, is economical, and is healthy. We offer vegan products for purchase at the front desk as an alternative for guests seeking vegan fare. A decade ago the partners wanted to own and run a business that could reflect their beliefs. At Golden Green Hotel, we take extensive measures to be energy and resource conservative, environmentally conscious and friendly – we replaced bathroom fixtures of 3.2-gallon water per flush with the ones of 0.8-gallon per flush, saving thousands of gallons of water per year; and added in-room dispensers for hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Each room eliminates over 1000 amenity packages a year from entering our landfills; all lighting is LED using less electricity; and utilizes recycled or tree-free toilet papers. Our next mission is to open a vegan restaurant in the hotel. The menu will include dishes which are tasty and delightful, so that non-vegan customers will also enjoy them. Golden Green Hotel is Chinese business ownership. Our front desk staff speaks English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Spanish.
