The good news, we have the Superbowl on live if that's your thing. The bad news, we've just been informed we will have no power tomorrow. If you're planning a visit on Tuesday we will be open but with a very reduced menu.

So sorry to hear today of burning down of Stokehouse St Kilda. Huge kudos to the the staff whom evacuated 200 diners and my commiserations to the van Handels, the owners. Clare managed here for 6 years and both she and I are so sad for the loss of a true Melbourne icon.

Congratulations to Mr. Mike Cron in winning the Super 15 tipping competion for the first time after years of trying. You might think that being the All Blacks Forward Coach would have given Mike special insight but he has never let that get in the way in the past. Honourable mention to Fred, Dennis and the Governor for coming in second equal.

Awesome work from the local fire brigade, two trucks out tonight in just 4 minutes from siren going off to driving past the hotel.
