Visitors are always welcome at Gower and are encouraged to make themselves known to the greeters, ushers, people sitting near them, and / or ministers, and to sign the guest book which is on the table in the vestibule.
A children’s time is included in each service and then the children go to their Sunday School classes. Children are welcome at Communion so on Communion Sundays, the children return to the service so that they can participate. Intergenerational services are held three or four times a year.
The services are greatly enhanced by the music provided by the organist, choirs and bands.
Communion is usually held on the first Sunday of each liturgical season – Advent, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. In addition, Communion is served at the last service on Christmas Eve, and on World Wide Communion Sunday which is the first Sunday in October.
Baptism is scheduled for the fourth Sunday in the month but we do try to be flexible if that is not convenient for the parents.
Following the morning service, various members of the congregational groups and committees host a fellowship time during which members of the congregation and visitors have an opportunity to meet each other and enjoy some refreshments. This is held in the Tait-Osmond Room, located behind the pulpit and easily accessible from the sanctuary.
Sermons can be heard or read from the church website.
