Description
Great Bay Academy of Dance (GBAD) is the Seacoast's Non-Competition Dance Education Center for dancers of all ages. This means that we are focused on dance as an art form and as an education. Being a non-competition dance education center means that 100% of the time spent at GBAD is focused on learning and improving dance fundamentals and technique along with having fun. GBAD's strength is in the Vaganova technique of classical ballet. We believe that ballet is the foundation of all dance movements. Our staff is the best in the area with each of our instructors having professional experience and/or a college degree in a dance related field. GBAD offers numerous exciting and enriching performance opportunities throughout the year such as our annual production of "An 1836 Portsmouth Nutcracker", a story ballet spring show, our annual school wide culmination performance along with at least one summer performance opportunity. GBAD's goal is to help dancers improve their dance and performing arts skills as well as to help develop discipline, self-confidence, stage presence, artistry, fitness and wellness.
