The Greater New Psalmist Church was started in February 1999 in Toledo, Ohio. It was originated by its Visionary, Bishop Brehon Hall, and its original name was New Psalmist Church. Founded on the basic tenets of Christianity, it strives to be a ministry that is inclusive of people from all generations, ethnic backgrounds, and socio-economic backgrounds and provides an atmosphere that provides an outlet to freely Worship and receive the Word of God. Its name was changed in 2006 to reflect the new direction that Bishop Hall wished to take the ministry by providing more than just “Church as Usual” and impress upon the people of God to achieve GREATER in their lives – personally, spiritually, and professionally. Since its founding, Greater New Psalmist has seen hundreds join and the ministry has impacted thousands in the Northwest Ohio area not only through the traditional setting of church but by way of its exterior ministries – that have provided impactful supportive services and empowerment opportunities to its members and the Toledo Community. One of the areas fastest growing ministries, Greater New Psalmist, seeks to Empower, Impact, and Improve the lives of people through not only discipleship but also demonstration! With two campuses and a great mix of components necessary for a successful ministry, Greater New Psalmist Church is poised and uniquely positioned to further expand its outreach and impact on the Toledo community.
