Since 1964, we have been an organization of Dalmatian breeders, trainers, owners and Dalmatian enthusiasts from the Pittsburgh, PA area. Come join us!
The Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatian Club has offered various programs, movies, obedience demonstrations, speakers, experienced handlers, Vets, etc. in an attempt to keep our members and the public informed about our breed. We try to interest both pet owners and show people with our educational programs. We offered puppy classes for new owners and hold a fun match each year at a local Pittsburgh area park. The mission of the Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatian club is To encourage and promote through education the breeding of quality pure-bred Dalmatians and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection; 2) To urge members and hobby breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Dalmatians shall be judged, 3) To do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog shows and 4) To conduct sanctioned and licensed Specialty shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club.
