Home of ‘Gromit Unleashed’ public arts trails featuring giant Aardman sculptures, 'unleashed' in the city of Bristol. Gromit,will return to Bristol in Gromit Unleashed 2 in summer 2018. ‘Gromit Unleashed’ is a public art trail of giant Gromit sculptures designed by international artists, which were unleashed in Bristol between 1st July and 8th September 2013. The Gromits were auctioned in October 2013 in aid of The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity, raising over £2.3 million. All funds from ‘Gromit Unleashed’ will go towards The Grand Appeal’s work to support the expansion of Bristol Children’s Hospital, one of the leading multi-disciplinary children’s hospitals in the UK. The Grand Appeal has pledged to raise an initial £3.5 million for state-of-the-art equipment, family facilities and child-friendly artwork to enhance the £30 million investment by the NHS and support sick children.
