Fun miniature train ride for all the family.
The Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway first opened in 1996, originally designed for just one season. The railway runs Diesel and occasionally Steam trains around a quarter mile circuit, over the long wooden viaduct, round the pond full of Ducks, Moorhens and a large white Goose. Through the trees passing tame squirrels, along the back straight and round the bend into the small station full of your favourite Thomas the Tank souvenirs. The new additions include an electric Thomas, and the exciting Drive Your Own Trevor Tram, fantastic for kids who are just dying to get behind the wheel! The large park area which has just undergone a 3.5 million pound revamp is suitable for picnics. There are also premises in the park selling Teas, Coffee’s and Ice-creams. Toilets are available in the park during the summer, with disabled access and baby changing facilities. Opening Times: Weekends and school holidays from February to November, 10.30am to 5pm. Tuesdays and Thursdays 12.00pm to 4.30pm during May, June & July. Sundays & Bank Holidays, December & January 11am to 4pm (weather permitting) Fares: £1.50 Adults, £1.00 Children
