Groundswell is a weekly open stage event at Swingin’ Safari in Surfers Paradise. Swingin’ Safari is not only one of the Coasts Iconic venues but it is also a hub for creativity, open to experimentation. Groundswell aims to encourage a sense of community amongst creative people in the Gold Coast through performance and collaboration. Groundswell will feature performances from many disciplines. Any performances including but not limited to Spoken word, solo acoustic, electronic music, visual interactive installations, theatre, fashion parades, stand up comedy and contact juggling will be featured. The idea behind the night is to promote growth of both, already thriving and budding segments of The Gold Coast creative communities. We aim to provide a space for performers to feel comfortable to try out new ideas and link other local performers. This space will be one of inclusion and respect.
