Description
Since 2011, GroundWerx.CI has worked hard to expand access to USDA child nutrition programs and fresh food vendors to ensure that every child in Metro Detroit has access to 3 meals a day, 365 days a year, where they live, learn, and play. Today, GroundWerx.CI has a strategic framework that aims to improve communities by turning the top-down service delivery model on its head. We combine human-centered design with deep immersion in the knowledge and experiences of people on the ground. Our collaboration with residents supports their vision for a community that aligns with their culture and goals. Human-centered design amplified by a strong, inspiring narrative will empower communities and produce a momentum for change that will ripple beyond GroundWerx.CI's involvement. We believe that these are key elements of sustainable change.
