Gulley Wood Farm run by Jon Langmaid and Jenn Dukes, is a 60 acre traditional Devon stock farm, of which 20 acres is woodland.

Description

We run the farm and woodland on a conservation footing and this requires on going work to create and maintain good habitats for dormice, other mammals and birds. In 2000/2004 eight acres of mixed broadleaf woodland were planted in two separate areas. These have taken well over the past years and we continue to watch them develop with pride. In our mature woodland we have many wild flowers and in the spring we have a beautiful display of bluebells. Four wildlife ponds have been created within the woodland which adds to the wide and diverse range of habitats we provide here at Gulleywood farm. There is much wildlife to be seen on the farm ranging from deer, foxes, badgers, and dormice. The woodland is also a haven for many species of wild birds.
