Here are some facts on the new library...hopefully you can make the trip out to see it sometime soon! · With more than 154,000 square feet of space, the Mary Idema Pew Library is more than double the size of the former James H. Zumberge Library and has triple the seating capacity. · The library has capacity for 150,000 books on open shelves and another 600,000 in an automated storage retrieval system. · The building features an innovation zone where each element in the space – tables, seating, equipment and objects that stimulate creativity – has been chosen to nurture student innovation · The project would not have been possible without the generosity of more than 1,400 donors.
