All hair is 24 inches in length and 100% human hair, which is extra thick at 1gram per strand. The method used is the micro ring method. Extensions are attached using NO glue and NO heat - meaning NO damage to your hair. Any other method of extensions will cause your hair significant damage - despite what the expert says. The micro ring method enables extensions to be maintained with regular re-lifts. This method is truly the best. For years I was put off getting hair extensions due to the ridiculous salon prices and the horror stories of how damaging and high maintenance extensions can be. I then discovered the micro ring method and the Remy hair extensions. I was absolutely amazed and impressed with the quality of the hair and the method of application - non-damaging, low maintenance, high quality human hair which lasts and keeps its shine, condition and manageability. Please be aware - salon prices are incredibly overpriced. You will pay up to $2,000 in a salon for hair extensions that are in most cases, 0.5 grams per strand (half the thickness) and applied by means of gluing, bonding or weaving. All these methods will severely damage your hair. There are also many salons using Asian hair which is lower quality and will become dry and break very quickly. I have so many clients come to me desperate for me to do something for them, as their hair has just been left severely damaged after having any of the above methods. And what makes it even worse is the price they paid for the extensions in the first place. I have had these extensions myself for many years and have had 7 years experience applying hair extensions. It is sometimes referred to as 'cuticle hair', 'virgin hair' and 'cut hair'. Human hair collected directly from the hair donor is Remy hair. The majority of human hair sold in the industry is non-cuticle. Unlike Remy hair, the hair cuticle has been stripped by using an acid bath. Due to the cuticle being intact, Remy hair has some advantages other extension hair does not. It moves more naturally and is less likely to tangle. It can handle being curled with a curling iron, and is easier to style. Remy hair usually receives the highest salon quality colours and treatments. You will notice a difference between this and other types of hair. Remy extensions are of smooth, straight texture, and are 24 inches long - plenty of length to play with in terms of cutting and trimming to your chosen style or length. You can treat these extensions as if they were your own hair - cut, curl, iron, colour and style. They are exceptionally lightweight and completely non detectable. The extensions come in a range of colours, so can be colour matched to your own hair. The micro ring ensures that the extensions stay firmly in place and do not slip, and most importantly, have no bad effects on your hair. Each Remy strand is spread throughout your hair and attached via a small micro ring resulting in a very natural look. I use two micro rings per extension for extra grip. The micro rings are barely visible and nobody will be able to see where your extensions are attached. This individual strand extension method is a very natural look, allows your hair extreme versatility, leaving each individual section the ability to rotate up, down, back and forward and in a circular motion just as you own hair would. As your hair grows (6-8 weeks) you will need to get your extensions lifted. Regular re-lifts are important to ensure your own hair stays in good condition. Your extension hair is long lasting and can be re-used for around 6 months provided it is well taken care of.
