Description

Hammer and Thread materialized out of a chance meeting of two crafty moms. Ruth and Haley met in 2009 and soon discovered a shared love for sewing. With a combined 34 plus years of sewing experience and 4 kids between them, Haley and Ruth started Hammer and Thread as a blog to chronicle their various sewing projects and crafty ideas. Soon, a business idea was forming. Today, we have a brand new Etsy shop and are members of the Austin Craft Riot crafters collective. We aim to create cool, unique stuff for our 3 boys and 1 tom boy using repurposed materials, when possible, and utilizing our kid's creative ideas in our creations. From rock stars to pirates, from race car drivers to astronauts, whatever your boy dreams up, Hammer and Thread Shop hopes to clothe and accessorize their adventure.
