Since a child, I have had a deep reverence and love for horses. In high school, I was caught between my two life-long passions of architecture and equine massage. Thinking with my head, I chose architecture.Ten years later, my heart won over and I returned to school for two certifications in equine massage and one in horsemanship. The first (Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage) focused on the physiological and anatomical aspects of horses. The second (Western Montana School of Equine Massage) focused on combining Eastern and Western massage techniques. My passion is connecting with horses in such a way that they are able to release years of stagnation, trauma, and pain - whether it be physical or emotional. My life experiences have taught me the body's ability to carry such burdens. Likewise, I have learned the body's amazing ability to let go. This is especially true of horses - whose lives center in the present moment. Massage is one avenue of releasing old holding patterns and allowing horses to move forward with fluidity and grace. I am constantly humbled by the horses whom I massage and am grateful for their trust in my hands. I offer 1 hour and 15 minute massages for $100. The first visit includes an additional 15 minute consultation at no extra charge. Three massages or more at a single barn receive a 15% discount. I travel to the greater tri-county area free of travel fees.
