Hands On Outreach & Development Centre works with Saskatoon’s inner city youth and children. The objectives of Hands On are: (a) To relieve poverty by providing the basic necessities of life (food, water, hygiene items, clothing, life skills development, mentorship and a safe warm building), free of charge, to people of any age (with a focus on children and youth) who are poor or in need. (b) To operate a drop-in centre where children and youth who are in need can interact with experienced adult supervisors that are available for counselling and listening to them in a safe environment. (c) To operate a drop-in centre where volunteers who want to work with children and youth and may be pursuing volunteer hours or a practicum to complete their education, have opportunity to gain experience working with children and youth. (d) To communicate, cooperate and work with schools and other organizations that make impact on our children and youth in order to better serve them. (e) To undertake in outreach & development work in the city of Saskatoon and surrounding areas by doing motivational presentations to reservations, schools and other communities in need, covering a variety of topics that include bullying, suicide, sexual abuse, violence, alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

Hands On Outreach & Development Centre Incorporated is: • A drop in centre and outreach program designed for inner city children and youth. • A place dedicated to serving the physical and emotional needs of our clients • A place that provides healthy meals, clothing, activities (E.G. sports, board games, computer room etc.) and entertainment to our inner city children and youth • A place to get basic hygiene products and a shower room to clean ones self • A place to learn basic life skills

Rick founded Hands On Street Ministries in 1992. Since that time, Hands On has operated in a number of different locations on 20th Street in Saskatoon and is now located at 140 Avenue F North. We are grateful for our volunteers who are equally dedicated to caring for Saskatoon’s street people in a dignified manner. Hands On is blessed to have a well-rounded Board of Directors that helps give guidance and direction to this dynamic ministry, which operates exclusively on charitable donations.Company Rating
