Description

My name is Mareeka Edwards and I am a mother of a beautiful 8 month baby girl and Aunty Mareeka to many little ones. For 10 years I was a practicing Medical Laboratory Technician who worked at Credit Valley Hospital, Hooper Holmes, Indeex and various Doctor’s offices. However, Being a MLT/A wasn’t my passion. I love working with children and teaching. Therefore, in 2010 I decided to open a Tutoring company called BGEP, Boys and Girls Educational Program and became a full time Tutor. The following year, I started my very own Summer Camp with the intentions to help keep my students physically and academically active during the Summer months. During this time, I enrolled into a Montessori program which I completed in 2012 and earned my Montessori teacher’s Diploma With the birth of my daughter, I decided to add another service to my roster and open a Home Daycare this coming May. Happy Smiles Home Daycare is a pet friendly and unlicensed Home Daycare which follows the Child Care and Early Years Act. The Home Daycare is located on the 3rd floor with its own bathoorm. Please note, I own a small dog, a bird and fishes. The small dog isn't allowed on the 3rd floor and would be kept out of the Home Daycare during business hours.
