America's Fall Rowing Festival is on October 21-22, 2017 Welcome to the Official Head Of The Charles Fan Page. The Head Of The Charles is the world’s largest regatta. Every October nearly 11,000 athletes and tens of thousands of fans travel from across the globe to the banks of the Charles for America’s Fall Rowing Festival. Whether its browsing the Weld Sponsor Exhibition, relaxing in the Reunion Village, watching crews negotiate hairpin turns from atop the Weeks Bridge, or marking down stroke rates and bow numbers at the finish line, the HOCR has something for everyone. The three-mile race course lines both the Boston and Cambridge sides of the river, allowing plenty of opportunities to watch and cheer for high school, college, adult, and even Olympic crews as they charge one of the most challenging rivers in the sport of rowing.
