Passionate about health and wellness, Dr. Genieve Burley-Howes works as a full-time chiropractor, and brings her expertise in anatomy to her yoga teaching.

Description

Dr. Burley earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Health from Queen’s University in 2000, and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2005 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, Toronto. She has also completed two years of a Masters of Rehabilitation through the University of British Columbia (2007-2009). Dr. Burley is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200), a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT: National Strength and Conditioning Association), a Certified Spinning Instructor (Schwinn), and is certified in the Webster technique for prenatal chiropractic. Dr. Burley works as a full-time chiropractor with her own healthcare business: Health in Alignment Chiropractic and Yoga. She currently teaches vinyasa, ashtanga and hatha yoga for One Yoga for the People and Yyoga, Vancouver. Dr. Ryan Gannon has practiced in Sydney, Australia, Western Australia and Glasgow, Scotland prior to moving to Vancouver. During this time, he has managed many cases including national champions and Olympians as well as general practice. Always striving to find new ways to help patients recover from their injuries, Dr Gannon utilizes multiple treatment therapies and assessment modalities including: Active Release Technique ™ Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy/Manipulation Kinesiology Taping (Rock Tape ™ /Kinesiotape ™) Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
