Helping Up Mission is a community of hope. We help men fighting addiction and homelessness get their lives back. One of Baltimore's oldest and largest nonprofit organizations. We provide the highest quality programs and services to men in Central Maryland suffering from homelessness and addiction.
We are a faith based, privately funded, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We provide programs and services to men suffering from homelessness and addiction. Our long-term, residential Spiritual Recovery Program is our flagship. Since 1995, we have helped hundreds of men break the cycle of addiction, poverty, and homelessness. The average homeless man we serve has survived two decades of substance abuse and years on the streets. He comes to us addicted, destitute, and dysfunctional — with no realistic capacity to recover on his own. For a man in that condition, a “quick fix” doesn’t exist. Healing requires a holistic approach. By God’s grace, lives are transformed as men who have suffered for years — or in many cases, decades — on the streets rise up and regain their purpose, hope, and independence. As they do, all Baltimore is blessed along with them; our community experiences healing.

The Urology Care Foundation is a dedicated leader in advancing urologic research and education to improve patients' lives. The American Urological Association’s (AUA) Foundation has a new name — the Urology Care Foundation. Our new name emphasizes the care and collaboration that is at the core of the Foundation’s leadership in urologic health. The Foundation is the official foundation of the AUA and was formerly known as the AUA Foundation. Since 1987, our unique relationship with the AUA, an organization of approximately 19,000 urologists, has positioned the Foundation as a leading advocate in urologic health, uniquely qualified to speak on behalf of urology. Although we have a new name, we have a long history. Through the Foundation’s Research Scholars Program, the Urology Care Foundation has provided support to promising young urology researchers for more than 35 years. The Foundation continues to provide the most accurate and current urological information and education to patients. The Foundation’s patient education information is based on the integrity of the AUA Clinical Guidelines, which set the standard for quality patient care.
