The society email is info@hwums.com Who runs the society? HWUMS is run by Muslim students on campus. Anyone can join regardless of background. We welcome all students to join us in helping serve the Muslim and non-Muslim community on campus and off campus. We hope to create a voice for the Muslim community here at Heriot Watt, so the outside world knows who we are. Where is the prayer room? The prayer room can be located in the Hugh Nisbit building, opposite lecture theater 1 > Down the stairs to the right. We have prayer facilities for both brothers and sisters. Activities/Events > We have lots of events in store for the Muslims and nonMuslims. Some of the common community event we partake in are Charity week and Islamic awareness week. We also host a regular sister’s circle as well as the brother’s Tajweed class.
