Hillberg & Berk jewellery is artistically crafted using sterling silver, gold, and high quality gem-stones. Designer and CEO Rachel Mielke wanted to create an investment worthy jewellery line that is fashionable, beautiful and functional. Growing up on the prairies gave Rachel a keen sense of practicality that is carried through in the design philosophy of Hillberg & Berk. Pieces are created with these things in mind; bold yet beautiful classic styling, hand-crafted durability and functionality. You will find these elements in every piece of H&B that you invest in.
Hillberg & Berk was launched in 2007 and since then has achieved notoriety - everywhere from the Royal Family to the Oscar Red Carpet ad the G20 summit.
Hillberg & Berk was commissioned by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan to create a brooch for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was recently photographed wearing her H&B brooch to church in Norfolk, England. Many other celebrities and women of influence such as Carrie Underwood, Sarah McLachlan, Michelle Obama, Barbra Walters, and Celine Dion own H&B jewellery. Hillberg & Berk was also featured on Season 3 of the hit CBC show Dragons' Den where Rachel battled the dragons and won. Now partnering with business mogul and philanthropist W. Brett Wilson, Hillberg & Berk is quickly becoming the strongest designer jewellery line in Canada. You will only find Hillberg & Berk jewellery at exclusive boutiques, galleries and stores and online at www.hillbergandberk.com
Rachel's philosophy on business is to support the community that has nurtured its growth, whether it is the local business community or the rural villages of Bali that create some of H&B's silver findings. Hillberg & Berk gives back by being extremely involved in these communities and supports the women that live in them. Rachel has a strong passion for
empowering other women and does so by contributing to organizations such as Dress for Success, Wings of Hope, Business & Professional Women and several local women's shelters. Rachel has been honoured for her endeavours in business and philanthropy with the 2008 YWCA Women of Distinction Award, 2009 Women Entrepreneurs of SK Emerging Business Award, 2009 Silver Lining Top 10 Entrepreneurs of North America and the 2010 SK Trade and Export Partnership Exporter of the Year.
