The school was founded by the Jewish community in 1969 and has been accredited by AdvanceEd since 1999. We are authorized by Cambridge International Examinations to offer the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE), and we are an International Baccalaureate World School. This facilitates our international students who may transition to or from, other international schools worldwide. Hillel Academy meets the requirements governing private educational institutions under the terms of the Education Act in Jamaica. Our student population stands at approximately 750 children from over 40 countries. We offer a safe and stimulating environment, in which our children develop socially, emotionally, creatively, physically and academically. Hillel Academy, in partnership with our parents and students, cultivates principled life-long learners who are prepared to make a difference.
