Hilltop's PTA meetings are usually held every first Monday of the month at 5:30 PM. We need fresh ideas and your participation to make our school GREAT!
Hilltop Drive Elementary School PTA is part of the Ninth District of California State PTA. The PTA functions to give children and parents a voice in their school. PTA activities are intended to benefit all children in the school across all grade levels. Joining the PTA does not mean you are obligated to volunteer your life away. Becoming a member gives you a voice. Membership empowers you and your children and supports meaningful and fun events which take place at school. Fund-raising proceeds help support school events, assemblies and gifts to school. Last year the PTA voted to purchase a much needed P.A. system as well as one flip camcorder for each grade level, 8 cameras total. Teachers will be able to use these camcorders to document class activities and aid in teaching. Volunteers make it happen, but even if you are unable to volunteer, your $10 membership helps your school to be the best it can be. Please join PTA Today!
Hilltop Families! Our clothing drive has been extended until June 1. Thank you so much for your donations. Every pound raises money for our school. In addition, some of the blankets and comforters we've donated have been sent by the company to Nepal for disaster relief. We appreciate your support!
Tonight's Camp Out is ON! Rain or Shine. Come and hang out with friends under the sky. Gates will close for non-campers after the conclusion of our movie: ET the Extraterrestrial around 9 PM. We will have snacks and hotdogs available until gates close. Hope to see you there!

Our hearts go out to the children, family and friends of Leonor Castillo, the mother of two Palomar students and a 3 year-old daughter who was tragically killed the day after Thanksgiving. Leonor was a PTA mom at Palomar and a very dear friend of one of our Hilltop moms. A fundraiser is being held to support the Castillo family and to increase awareness of domestic violence. This event will be next Thursday, December 18 from 5-8 PM. Chula Vista Elks Lodge, 901 Elks Lane, Chula Vista. The cost is $12 per person and includes spaghetti dinner, beverage and dessert. Two sets of Disney park hopper tickets will be raffled at the event. Tickets are $10 each. Donations are also being accepted now through Dec 19 (and after Jan 12) at the Palomar school office and at the gofundme site listed in the post below.
Thanks to Nicole & Ben Colmenero, Stephanie & Miguel Carvajal, Hilltop Teachers and Family volunteers who dedicated their time to create a wonderful Fall Festival! Without tremendous effort this traditional event would not happen.
Hilltop's Fall Festival is tomorrow and what fun we have planned. Added games, vendors, treats, a Haunted Hallway and Pie Throwing booth. What will you do first?!
Reminder! Tonight is the PTA sponsored Candidates Forum at CVESD in room C at 6:30 PM. Come with your questions!
