Description

Launched in 1824 HMS Unicorn is the third oldest ship in the world still afloat and one of the six oldest ships in the world! She is Scotland’s only preserved warship and is the most completely original ship in the entire world to have survived from the golden age of sail! Now a historic ship and visitor centre she provides the unique experience of life on board a 19th century Frigate! Come and explore all 4 decks of history aboard this original 193 year old historic ship and museum. This authentic and interactive experience of life on board a 46-gun frigate is a fun day out for all the family. As well as a unique visitor attraction and museum, we also hold a variety of events throughout the year including kids pirate fun days, evening talks, plays, family ceilidhs, guided tours, live jazz, blues, folk and opera - to name but a few.
