Hock Farm is a Farm-to-Fork restaurant located in the heart of downtown Sacramento.

Description

A celebration of the Sacramento region’s rich history and bountiful terrain, the restaurant is named after John Sutter’s Hock Farm. Established in 1841, the settlement was the first large-scale agricultural settlement in Northern California. From the beginning, Sutter recognized the farming potential of the Sacramento Valley and pursued many agricultural ventures including grain, cattle, orchards and vineyards, foreshadowing Sacramento's modern day designation as the 'Farm-to-Fork Capital'. The menu is inspired by the region's amazing bounty of produce, meats and hand-crafted goods. Many of the menu items are determined by what the chefs find at local farmer's markets and farms. The bar program features ingredient-driven classic cocktails, often re-imagined with local produce and locally-produced goods. Hock Farm is a unique Paragary Restaurant Group location as it is also owned and operated by three former PRG employees: Executive Chef David LaRoche, and Managing Partners Shaun Freeman and Brad Peters. The design of the Hock Farm Restaurant is an ode to the Sacramento valley's rich history and it's founder by establishing on a modern interpretation of the more rustic styles of the 1850's. By using local and regional fabricators and artisans, Hock Farm brings a fresh and native aesthetic to the burgeoning Sacramento culinary scene. In the spirit of ingenuity, discovery, curiosity and history, Hock Farm celebrates Sacramento's past with an eye towards the future.
