Description

Stable West forms part of a converted Edwardian stable block and is situated in a rural yet convenient location, on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty only 2 miles from the edge of Canterbury. It has a large double bedroom with ensuite bathroom on the ground floor, and a further double and single bedroom with shared bathroom on the first floor. The reception rooms comprise a fully equipped kitchen/dining room, a large attractive sitting room with wood burning stove, and a light and airy conservatory. This leads out to an enclosed private garden with a terrace area for eating out. The house has its own parking area next to the front door, and is surrounded by the owners' large garden and wild flower meadow. Use of tennis court by arrangement with the owners. Please note that there are (friendly!) dogs living next door who may come and visit! As well as Canterbury there are many other places of interest within easy reach, such as Howletts Zoo Park (10 minutes by car), Dover Castle (25 minutes) and Sissinghurst Gardens (40 mins). There is also a wide variety of beaches and seaside resorts between 20 and 40 minutes away. Canterbury is less than an hour from London by train, and we are 20 minutes from the Channel Tunnel if you fancy a day trip to France. There are many lovely walks straight from the house, and the Granville gastro pub is a10 minute walk away, serving delicious food and also great for a pint of the local beer.
