Homemade is a small independent family of licensed child friendly cafes serving truly homemade food. We support local suppliers and strive to find the best quality ingredients in our laid back cosy cafes. Established in 2005, Homemade Hockley is our flagship cafe and can be found located on Pelham Street as you walk towards the city's trendy district of Hockley, amongst many other fantastic Independent businesses. We are situated in the beautiful old Cricket Pavilion building, in the heart of the Forest Recreation Ground Park. Enjoy the usual Homemade treats in the peaceful surroundings of the park, and when the sun is out, our terrace is a gorgeous sun trap, perfect for a chilled glass of wine with your meal. During the Summer months we open the Pavilion later into the evenings for supper. Homemade Hockley is few mins walk from either the Market Square Or Lace Market Tram Stop. Homemade at the Pavilion has free parking accessible from the Mansfield Road entrance adjacent to our building. Bus & Tram stop either side of the park too.

What to do a gloomy weekend in Nottingham? Well this weekend you can come to the pavilion and get cosy & crafty with us as we launch into our Christmas snowflake competition. Here's how it will work..... You come to the pavilion with your children, we have a stash of kit to make classic Christmas decorations, like snowflakes and paper chains, then everyone can be cosy and crafty together. Prizes to be given to the best snowflakes and hopefully this will become a lovely new tradition at the Pavilion to fill our huge windows with at Christmas Also to add to the fun we have nice choccies and may get the mulled wine on. Afternoon folks, A few people have been asking us about our opening hours at the Pavilion now that Winter is upon us, so here is our plan for November & December.... We will be open Monday - Sunday (Inc) from 9am until 4pm up until Christmas, with the exception of Christmas Bookings. Don't forget that we have free parking for the cafe just next to our building, accessible from the Mansfield Road entrance. BONFIRE NIGHT UPDATE: Tables are booking up very fast indeed. If you still need to book yours, then please call 0115 9781608 from 8.30am on Wednesday morning and speak to the pavilion team. We have Live Music from approx 8pm from Josh Kemp Official who is doing a pre fireworks acoustic set on the terrace for us. We have patio heaters on the terrace for the evening however we are advising everyone booked on the terrace to wrap up warm. We will have plenty of hot cider to keep you warm too. Just like we now do in Hockley, the menu will be changing monthly at Homemade Sherwood too.... So you guys who is coming to the Nottingham beer festival this year? The advance tickets have sold out however there are plenty available on the door today, and also on the gate tickets on Friday and Saturday too. My top tip for those that think they won't get in, is to get here by 3pm on Friday or come around 7pm on Saturday for the evening session. Make sure you say hello at the homemade street food kitchen on site too. Love & real ale. Xx

We have a got a special goose fair themed autumn treats menu for the fair, being served from 5pm tomorrow until Sunday. Homemade at the pavilion is open as usual at the forest recreation ground while goose fair is being built bit by bit each day. Our goose fair opening hours will change from Wednesday.... Wednesday to Saturday we are opening from 10am until 10pm and next Sunday we are opening from 10am until 8pm. We are planning some yummy autumn treats for a a special Goose Fair menu, and mulled wine will be on the go.

So this means a very rare position of baker has become available at Homemade. Homemade is well known for its vast selection of delicious cakes of which we sell hundreds each week. We are looking for a lively, enthusiastic individual with a passion for honest homemade delicious baked goods to join our award winning young & friendly team. The Job: Kitchen Crew Pastry Cook/Baker at Homemade. High quality baking of our signature cakes and desserts for all three sites. Decorating cakes to a high standard for the cafe windows and maintaining the window displays for customer demand. Please be aware that this isn’t a job baking cupcakes, far from it in fact! Hours: approx 30 hours per week, Candidates must be flexible with working hours as we are open 7 days a week. The position will commence immediately.
