Hope and glory boxing club is based on the main road through Penrhiwceiber, opposite the ozborn hotel. Hope chapel was closed more than a decade ago,this is why we have kept the name "Hope" so the older generation of people who remember using the chapel for worship can remember old times. We didn't want to change the name because old buildings are being knocked down all the time and we wanted to keep the history going. The Gym coach said "we will be opening on Friday the 8th of November and nothing new has opened at the bottom of ceiber for years, they are considering closing ceiber park so were are all the kids supposed to go?, this will be the place the can spend some time learning how to box instead of standing on the street corners or staying indoors playing on the play station". David said it will be good for the community. We have taken our time to get it ready and up to standard for everyone interested as the boxing coach has his amateur and professional licence. If anyone is interested in joining feel free to turn up on the opening night, we will be open 5 until 6 o'clock for children and 6 until 8 o'clock for seniors. If you want to loose weight for Christmas you can still join as circuit training will be three nights a week Monday, Thursday and Friday so come and give it a go and get fit. Cons will be 5 pound per week and if you are interested come and join us you never now there may be future champs in the making. All ages are welcome... WOMENS ONLY SESSIONS - Every Tuesday and thursday 7-8pm CHILDREN'S BOXING SESSIONS - Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 5-6pm SENIOR BOXING SESSIONS - Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday 6-8pm.
