Hey HSFD Students - I have had several people contact me about having an Event Planning class, similar to the one I taught at the Houston School of Floral Design for the past few years. If you would be interested in a class like this - covering everything from meeting a client, home office setup, vendor selection, running a rehearsal all the way through how to coordinate the actual event - please let me know and I will try to set up a class for those interested. It would likely be a little bit more in-depth than the one I taught before and probably a little longer since I always felt I could use an hour or two more to really fit in some more essential information. Please let me know which days you prefer as well. I hope that we can work something out. Thanks -Kristie (Dreaming Tree Weddings)
Please don't forget to like our pages Angela Henry, TMF and Dreaming Tree Weddings (Kristie) so we can keep in touch with all of you! We will miss you all so much!
CLEARANCE SALE - today and tomorrow 9a-4p - selling everything left.
We just want to tell all of our students that Angie and Kristie will still be available to you in the future if you have any questions or need some support. Please like our other Facebook pages - "Angela Henry TMF" and "Dreaming Tree Weddings" (Kristie) and do not hesitate to contact us for anything. Please don't forget us, we will not forget any of you! Hope to see you all at the sale this Friday and Saturday!
It is with regret that I announce the closing of the Houston School of Floral Design. We have loved running the school, teaching floral design and watching the excitement of our students as they learn the art of floral design. Unfortunately, as a business we are expected to make a financial return for the owners and investors. This has not been the case. We are planning a very orderly wind down of the business. We have a list of refunds due students who have paid for classes and have not yet attended. We will be running those refunds today. You can give us a call if you have any questions regarding a refund due you. We are planning a clearance sale for this Friday and Saturday (January 4th and 5th) from 9am - 4pm. In addition to the items from our company store (books, shears, tape, color wheels) we will also be selling containers and vases, class supplies and the furniture from the classroom. We have a cooler and a Teleflora Dove POS system that will be sold as well. If you have interest in the cooler or the POS System please give me a call. Of course my biggest regret in this closure is the effect on the people. I want to thank Angela and Kristie for all of their hard work and dedication. I wish them both the best in their new endeavors. Finally, I want to thank each of you for your support of the school. We will miss you all. Sincerely, Jim Lerdal Owner Houston School of Floral Design

Our director, Angela Henry, is flying to Newtown, CT tomorrow morning to assist with the multiple funerals taking place this week as a result of last Fridays terrible tragedy at Sandy Hooks Elementary School. Please pray for the folks of Newtown and Angie is honored to help the town the best way she can - through her love of flowers. She will take along all of your prayers with her.
