Housing People Properly, HPP CARES is grass roots, HUD Approved, Non-profit Community Based Resource Center, the brainchild of Mrs. Katherine Peoples McGill, Founder and Executive Director. Since its inception in 2009, and due to unforeseen experiences which were overcome by her and her family, Katherine has made every effort to carry out and sustain her mission. The goal is to ensure no other families have to experience the prolific challenges, undignified treatment, accompanied with feelings of failure and disillusionment which overcame her family during their time of distress. Her passion and drive has allowed her to be able to provide FREE quality education and training to homeowners who are experiencing mortgage problems and possible foreclosure. HPP CARES is dedicated to providing a helping hand through education, consultation, and referrals to many affiliations for those in need. Agency Certification Foreclosure Intervention and Default Prevention Counseling & Education- Certified Home Ownership Counseling Certified Pre-Purchase Home Ownership Education Certified Post- Purchase Home Ownership Education Certified Code of ethics and conduct contained within NIS: National Industry Standards For Home Ownership Education and Counseling – Adopted NCRC: National Community Reinvestment Coalition Certified HUD APPROVED Accountability HPP CARES believes strongly in accountability. We have annual financial audits by an independent accounting firm and biennial on-site performance reviews by HUD. We use a customized MS Access database to track all of our counseling clients, thus enabling us to provide quantitative performance measures. In addition, we provide satisfaction surveys to all clients upon completion of services and use this feedback to refine and improve our services.
