Didn't want to forget to mention that Gypsy Night was once again, a HUGE success too!! Gypsy Stringz manages to transform us to a place, where music, good food and drink, with our loved ones and friends, exempliflies what life is all about!! We are so lucky to have the phenomenal talented musicians that play at our venue! Thank you to all of you who continuously support our events. You are the very reason why Huszar was launched, and we will continue to evolve, with much more fun to come!!
Sandwich Week was a HUGE success!! And I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who stopped by to sample the Huszar sandwich entry. It was wonderful to meet everyone and so exciting to see how many of you LOVED our sandwich. Our vision and mission statement, is to honor our past, and share with all of you our "old school" concept. So stay tuned folks, there is a lot more from Huszar to come!!

We are "one to watch" according to the good people of Good Food Pittsburgh! Thanks for the write-up. Gang, make sure to read this and check out all the other drinking and eating spots that recently opened.
Hello Huszar just found about your restaurant and you can be sure that we will be there. My fathers family was raised in Hungary. My grandmother was a great Hungarian cook also. We want to come when we can hear live gypsy music playing.
Why not celebrate Cinco de Mayo the Huszar Way with a delicious "Magyar Margarita" tonight? We've also got live music, homemade Hungarian fare, and great premium craft beers on tap.
Are the Pittsburgh Penguins going to give us another nail biter tonight? How are we going to do without Kris Letang? Action starts at 8 p.m. We've got big, beautiful new screens and great craft beers on tap. Stop by!
Seats are already filling up for great traditional music and cuisine. And in Honor of Cinco de Mayo we'll be offering a Magyar Margarita!!!
If it's the first Tuesday of the Month it's NORTHSIDE OPEN MIC NIGHT at Huszar. Come enjoy original work by talented local musicians hosted by the great Derek Paul Dysart of Shelf Life String Band. No cover and the best craft beer prices in the neighborhood. The fun starts at 9 p.m.

Thank you all 175 of our guests who dodged a few raindrops to enjoy great music, food, and company at our first annual Hungarian Bacon Roast! Loved meeting so many new families -- we even had guests from West Virginia and Ohio!
A few shots -- we'll be adding more!
Just about ready to welcome the crowd for our first Hungarian Bacon Roast! The wonderful members of the Duquesne University Tamburitzans are en route, the bacon is cut -- and our big beautiful tent is up (just in case there are a few sprinkles later on)!
Just came across your site tonight. I need to check Pittsburgh out in the future, seeing what a dynamic ethnic array of activities go on there. I remember my growing up days in Miami and our annual bacon roast with my parents and grandparents.
The average weight of an 11-year old boy in the United States is 100 pounds. Which is interesting, because that's how many pounds of bacon -- 100 pounds! -- we are prepping for tomorrow's sold-out Bacon Roast!
Attention Bacon Roast attendees -- we just ordered a big, beautiful tent for Saturday so we've got you covered! The forecast looks like the potential for some light, intermittent rain and we want to keep you -- and all that delicious slab bacon -- nice and dry!!
You asked, we listened, and we acted -- now accepting credit and debit cards for your convenience. Anything we can do to make your Huszar experience better we're glad to do!
We've had so many new visitors from other parts of the city and the suburbs that we wanted to share with all of you some more information on our wonderful neighborhood!
We're so thrilled to be part of this big (and delicious) Northside event this year. If you haven't gone, you should go! And if you're going to go, get your tickets early -- they sell out fast. Thanks Northside Leadership Conference for putting the whole thing together.
