Description

There are several kinds of kilns to form Japanese Pottery; wood-fired, gas, electric and kerosene. Most of the recent works are formed in wood-fired kilns The wood-fired kiln is the traditional way of firing in Japan. As firewood, pine wood is mainly used. At lower temperatures Japanese Cedar and Japanese Cypress is also used. All of my work is formed in harmony with the natural conditions of weather, clay and seasoning of dried firewood.
