We are the local of the International Association of EMT's and Paramedics that represent EMT's at Butler Medical Transport in DC assigned to Children's Nat'l Medical Center.

Description

Local 102 is a the local of the International Association of EMT’s and Paramedics. We protect the rights and advocate for better working conditions, wages, and benefits for the EMT’s that work for Butler Medical Transport in DC. These are not normal everyday EMT’s. Our members operate very specialized ambulances, and work as part of the team of neonatal and pediatric transport medicine providers at Children’s National Healthcare System in our Nation’s Capitol. The International Association of EMT”s and Paramedics are part of the Service Employees International Union, one of the largest collective bargaining unions in the United States. Our goal is to see that our union members are treated fairly in the workplace; that they receive a fair wage for the important work they do so that they may provide for their families; that they receive adequate healthcare and time off benefits to remain healthy and well prepared for the high stress work that they are called on to perform; and that they are provided with the latest and safest equipment and working environment.
