Description
As there is no government funded cancer treatment available in Pakistan, cancer victims have to rely on financially assisted treatment. Every year thousands of cancer patients turn up at the Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital and 72% of these are treated free of charge or they receive subsidised cancer treatment. As patient numbers increase, so does the demand for financially assisted treatment. Imran Khan Cancer Appeal endeavours to increase its fundraising activities so as to be able to provide increased grants to the hospital.

We try to maximise awareness/appeal by reaching out to people through various marketing methods including the social media platforms. Imran Khan Cancer Appeal continues to provide grants to support the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital in Pakistan which was established in 1994. The hospital primarily runs on donations from around the world. The hospital has established itself as a centre of excellence, providing treatment to thousands of cancer patients, who would otherwise be unable to afford it. The trust is committed to provide diagnostic and therapeutic care to those who are unable to pay, either free or subsidised. Since 1994, the hospital has come a long way, but there is still a lot to be accomplished.
