We are a dance school that focuses on educating dancers of proper dance technique and performance skills.

Description

The name of our studio says it all. We are a School of Dance. Our main focus is on providing proper technique training to ensure our dancers are skilled in the art of dance. The Director has a Masters Degree in Counseling and uses these skills to ensure that the instructors are striving to instill confidence in each dancer so they all have a turn "in the spotlight". In addition to the technique training, Spotlight Instructors use their creativity in choreographing dances to provide entertainment for our audience. Spotlight provides classes for those looking for either recreational dance or those seeking a more professional path. We pride ourselves in having a team of professional instructors that all have the same goals in mind: educating dancers in technique, teaching performance skills, instilling confidence in our dancers and providing a fun and safe environment. Spotlight's uniqueness is evident by the themes chosen for their Dance Recitals. We are not just providing dance instruction, we are teaching our dancers about life and how dance can tell so many stories and touch so many lives. Every year our Recital theme has an encouraging message about obstacles, finding one's strength and perseverance. A few of these themes include: "Unmask Your Fears", "Life", "Above the Waves". If you are looking for a studio family that will love your dancer, provide proper training to your dancer and teach your dancer that dance is the best therapy, In the Spotlight School of Creative Dance is the studio for you. We also offer a Dance Company for those who choose the more professional path. Although competition is not our main focus, we do participate in a couple of competitions a year. Our Dance Company has done amazing at the competitions, bringing home many Platinum rankings and overall placements. Our Company also performs at one big event a year. This year they performed at Disney and the upcoming yearly event will be announced soon. There are many dance studios within a short radius of each other. It is important to know what you want out of a studio, what you want for your child and match those wants with the studio that meets those needs.
