Infant Massage is a judgment free, baby-led class. Each massage class will provide you with clear massage instructions and handouts so that you can easily continue your practice at home. At every class we will do a review of the previous class, before we move on to massage the new body part. Infant Massage is a wonderful 6 week course that will: • Provide you with an intimate and unique tool through which to bond with your baby. When you massage your little one, both of you release large amounts of oxytocin in the process - the 'love' hormone; further developing trust and intimacy with your child. • An amazing tool through which to learn 'to listen' and 'understand' your baby • Provide you with a powerful technique to promote physical and emotional relaxation in both you and your little one • Help you provide relief for your little one when they are suffering from such conditions as constipation, gas and colic, over stimulation, emotional distress, excess mucus, teething, and tension • A fun, bonding activity that will evolve and grow, as your child grows. In this class you will learn how to modify the massage techniques for your growing child, to help keep them interested and engaged no matter what age. • General Benefits of Infant Massage - promotes relaxation, improves sleep patterns, lowers stress levels, improves muscle tone and joint flexibility, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, increases white and red blood cell count, thus improving the immune system - just to name a few of the benefits Enrollment in class includes all six sessions. Participation with baby in classes is highly recommended unless otherwise noted. No partial refunds for missed classes. There will be one make-up class to be announced at the end of the course.
