Description

Infinity Float Houston will be the first Float Center in a commercial building in Houston! Have you ever heard of floatation/sensory deprivation/isolation therapy? If you are familiar with floating then you already understand the vast benefits that it brings. If you haven't heard of floating, thats okay. We are happy to answer any questions and are here to provide knowledge about this great tool. The floatation tank is a soundproofed, lightless, enclosed tank filled with about 10 inches of water and over 1,000 pounds of epsom salt. This quantity of salt makes the water extremely dense resulting in the ability to float! A lot of research has been conducted to ensure it is physically impossible to sink in this environment. The temperature of the water and air is regulated to what is known as skin receptor neutral. The means that the temperature inside the tank is the same temperature of your skin (93.5 degrees F). The temperature regulation means that after being in the tank for a short period of time you being to lose sense of feeling with the water itself. To bring it all together, you're laying in water, in complete darkness, can't hear a thing, in a zero gravity environment and after awhile lose your sense of feeling and orientation. Ok...so what does all of this mean? The tank has taken away every sensory input away. And what does laying in a tank with no sensory input do for me you ask? This is where the magic happens, and the benefits start to kick in. Floating in a sensory deprivation tank can have endless benefits to both your body and your mind. It is impossible to list out all of the benefits, but here are a few: Relieves muscular pain, Rheumatism, Chronic pain, Fatigue, High blood pressure, Migraine headaches, Jet lag, Anxiety , Insomnia, Back pain, Depression, Pre-menstrual tension, Post-natal depression, etc. Of all of these benefits, the one that everyone is guaranteed to experience is the feeling of letting go and unplugging from the world for a moment. Every day you wake up from a bed that you toss and turn in because of the contact surfaces of the bed distracting your sleep cycle, you get in your car and drive to work, the radio is on, cars are honking and the stressful work day ahead is on your mind. You get to work and your brain is flooded with sensory overload between the tons of work on your desk, the computer full of distractions and your boss breathing down your neck. As the day goes on, your chaotic life continues. The days turn into weeks and the weeks turn into months and the months into years etc. You begin to realize that you have spent so much of your life distracted from the thing that should mean most: YOU, your life and its purpose. The floatation tank is going to solve this problem for you! When you get into the tank all of this comes to a complete stop and what pursues is absolutely nothing. Your mind and body has never experienced this and for the first 10 -15 minutes your system begins to adjust and slow down. All of the distractions and problems that are bothering you come to the forefront and the things holding you back of your dreams become very apparent. After this "transition phase" your body and mind begin to get comfortable with "nothing" and you slip into what is called the "theta state" This is a brain state that is in-between sleep and consciousness. The theta state has proven through scientific research to have amazing healing benefits for both the physically and mentally fatigued. The theta state is when the real experience of floating takes place. Many people say when they reach this state they know not whether they are asleep or awake. They are in a euphoric state and completely lose sense of their body due to the lose of sensory inputs. This is a very powerful state of mind and the mental relaxation and euphoric state carry on long after you exit the float tank. Houston is full of many different walks of life. The one thing that everyone in Houston has in common is the daily stress and sensory overload that comes with living in a large city. The body and mind need a chance to rest and reset in order to optimize how they function. Too many people go there whole lives not taking this seriously and think it is necessary to GO GO GO all of the time. This is impossible and the isolation tank gives your body and mind a chance to slow down and get away from it all. Even if its just for an hour every now and then you will be absolutely blown away at what this tool can do for your life. Our goal is to provide Houston with a place to unplug and reset using floating as the method. Help us build a place where we can truly upgrade the quality of peoples lives !
