"Earth care, people care, and fair share." Our mission is to instruct others, take good stewardship of the land, and provide the best quality of product.
Integrity 1. Innovation-Constantly discovering creative ways to make new jobs by growing food, and making this world a little more peaceful. 2. Nature-Instead of having a traditional garden, this farm emulates the systems in creation that are observed. By creating food forests opposed to traditional orchards, which are dependent upon human intervention and chemical use, this farm takes the example of an established forest, which is resistant to pests and creates its own compost, fertilizer, and irrigation, without creating any “waste”. The benefits are endless when you build strong forests that also include food from each layer: Nut trees, fruit trees, berry bushes, fruiting vines, herbs, vegetable plants, and root vegetables, with the combination of different plants that fix nitrogen for the soil, attract bees, birds, and beneficial insects. 3. Timeless-Opposed to our modern longing for the quick, easy, and convenient, this farm looks at future generations, and puts in the extra hard work to create well rooted systems. 4. Ethics-This farm holds to the belief of being a good steward of the resources we have been blessed with. Also we hold to the commandment, “Doing unto your neighbor as you would have done to yourself.” We don’t want to eat chemical soaked vegetables (even organically approved chemicals), we don’t want to buy eggs from a caged hen, and we want fair employment and to be supporting something greater than food itself. 5. Growth-Just as the trees around us continue to grow, we strive for a growth in our lives: Physically, mentally, and spiritually. 6. Roots-Call it what you like, the foundation, the cornerstone, or the roots; we are fixed on following Christ, sacrificing our comfort, our income, for the sake of the homeless, the widows and orphans, the neglected, oppressed, and also the sake of bringing peace to our land. 7. Impossible-Many people around us are burnt out, are burdened, and lonely. What they need is encouragement, a second chance. Something to strive for. A dream to overcome the impossible. 8. Training-We believe in bringing in people to work who have not been given jobs elsewhere, who are eager to work, and who yearn to be trained to have a good work ethic, to develop skills in all areas of life, including: Gardening, ecological construction, healthy cooking and nutrition, the arts, communication, and innovation. 9. You-We are set up to help you, the one in need of healthy food. We believe the consumer should have a relationship with the producer, knowing the source of their food and why they should support a specific producer, encouraging other farms to reexamine their practices, resulting in many farms becoming sustainable, and a benefit to society, not a hindrance.
