Situated in central Chile, our charming and and fully licensed International Guest House has been operational for 17 years. A cross between a rustic farmhouse and Canadian style log cabin, this accommodation offers a peaceful and truly unique way of living. The gorgeous 2 acre botanical garden is organic with its own wells, a vegetables and a small vineyard making for full self-sufficient living! Surrounded by five stunning National Parks, the guest house is situated along the beautiful Huaqui River 20km south of the Chilean city of Los Angeles - which is the capital city of the Bio Bio region. The most spectacular natural scenic views are close by.. whether you want giant natural lava dams, waterfalls, snow-capped volcanoes, fjords, condors, or natural springs there are options for all of it. You can walk the infamous ‘Eagle Rock’ trail at The National Park Nahuelbuta which is only 90kms east, where the summit offers incredible views! The Andes are to the East and the Pacific to the West. This spot offers magnificent views down onto the great forests of Aricana trees which compare in size to the giant Redwoods of California. Or would rather spot some Penguins or walk on glaciers? You can do it at National Park Laguna Laja which is approx. 80kms east..

“El Rincón" is a beautiful place, a "hidden corner" beside a small, clean river in the countryside of the southern Chilean Central Valley, 20 km. north of Los Angeles. Our location, and ‘family home style’, provides an ideal base for excursions or simply a restful ‘half way’ stop between travel to North or South. Our meals are prepared from fresh fruits and vegetables grown in our organic garden. We have room for 9 guests and are highly recommended in various travel guides: Lonely Planet, Footprint, Moon Travel and others.
