IPFW Japanese Saturday School was created for the purpose to keep Japanese children in touch with their native culture, as well as to teach those non-native to Japan of the Japanese culture and language.
The Japanese Saturday School offers many courses for the variety of people who are interested in taking our classes. For those who are not native to Japan, and want to learn the language and custom, should start by taking either the beginner 1, the beginner 2, or the intermediate class. There is also a Japanese for Kids course that allows children from Kindergarten through 5th grade to lean Japanese, too. Children who are native to Japan and wish to continue their Japanese education will find that they are best suited in the Traditional classes, which are sorted by grade. For a more detailed description of each course, please visit our website at http://www.ipfw.edu/departments/dcs/depts/jss/
