Serving the cuisine and flavor of our country since 1990, this has been the ultimate dream turned reality for our family. We feel fortunate to have the unique opportunity to share a wide sample of our traditional home-cooked foods to the Chicago-land area. Whether you are dining in, carrying out or catering, we hope that your entire experience proves to be “pura vida” which means literally pure life in Costa Rica. As soon as you walk in you’ll be greeted by large smiles, savory scents, and lively Latin music. We are home of the original oatmeal shake! Our recipe is unique to our family and has been passed down through the generations. The most popular item on our menu is Casado, which means “married”. It’s an authentic Costa Rican dish that marries white rice, black beans, sweet plantains, cabbage salad with either thin rib eye steak, chicken breast or tilapia, topped with an over easy egg.
