"Transforming lives through sport, exercise and physical activity" The Institute of Sport & Exercise is based at the University of Dundee Campus. Our facilities are wide ranging and include: A newly refurbished Gym with the latest Precor® Cardio & Strength Equipment coupled with P80 touchscreen consoles to track and guide your workout; Personal training room complete with kettle bells, free weights, Vipr's, Fitballs, Powerbags, suspension straps and Bosu balls for all your training needs; 3 Studios for our wide range of exercise and dance classes, Including HIIT, Sleek, Step, Zumba and much more. 3 top quality Squash courts for Squash & Racketball. Newly refurbished for 2015. 2 Sports halls, perfect for Basketball, 5-a-side football, futsal, badminton and much more; A SportScotland funded Strength Performance Centre, a purpose built strength training area for the training and preparation of our performance athletes, some of whom have competed in their chosen sport at National level. We have Eleiko weight plates which were used at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games as part of the commonwealth Games Legacy programme. A 25 metre indoor heated swimming pool with sauna; 4 All weather, Flood-lit Tennis Courts; 9 Grass/2 artificial (3G) pitches at our Riverside facility, excellent for Football, Hockey, Rugby and many other sports. We also offer Personal training sessions, swimming lessons/courses, RLSS NPLQ lifeguard courses, & Qualsafe approved Level 2 & Level 3 first aid training courses. Also, keep an eye out for our continuously changing list of events including the famous ‘ise Braverunner’ and Twilight walk all in aid of our McMillan supported Move More Dundee programme.
